Children are the foundation of our future and lie at the heart of The GC Brand’s community investment initiatives. To commemorate World Prematurity Day, The GC Brand proudly partnered with Modern Day Moms and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU Soldiers) to support families of premature babies at the Ga West Municipal Hospital.
Observed annually on November 17th, World Prematurity Day is a global movement that sheds light on the challenges faced by preterm babies and their families. Premature birth, defined as delivery before 37 weeks of pregnancy, remains one of the leading causes of mortality among children under five. This special day highlights the importance of quality neonatal healthcare and the critical support systems needed to improve the outcomes for these vulnerable infants.
As part of this initiative, The GC Brand joined hands with its partners to provide resources to families with premature babies, offering not only tangible support but also hope and encouragement. This effort emphasizes the brand’s commitment to ensuring the well-being of families in Ghana.
Speaking about the initiative, Tanal Ghandour, CEO of Ghandour Cosmetics shared “Our mission has always been about touching lives in meaningful ways. Through this collaboration, we hope to ease the burden for families, raise awareness about the challenges of premature birth and support these brave mothers and their little fighters in every way we can.”
The collaboration between these organizations demonstrates the power of community. It is also a call to action for individuals and organizations to work collectively to improve outcomes for preterm infants. The GC Brand remains dedicated to initiatives that make a positive impact, reminding us that caring for the most vulnerable among us is what truly defines our humanity.
