Updated: Dec 7, 2023

Ghandour Cosmetics Ltd has been at the forefront of local cosmetic manufacturing in Ghana, for over 25 years, catering to the beauty and personal care needs of families. Recently, the company has made good its commitment to sustainability by pioneering the installation of a 1,585 MWP solar plant to power its operations with solar energy.

It is the largest solar installation for a cosmetics company in Ghana.

Partnering with Daystar Power Group, the rooftop installation consists of 2,964 x 535Wp panels, offsetting 20,150 MT in CO2 emissions, an equivalent of approximately 16,600 trees planted annually over the installation’s lifetime. This significantly reduces our carbon footprint and power costs and drives sustainability across our value chain.

With a vision to be the best innovative customer-oriented cosmetic company in Africa delivering safe, quality, and affordable cosmetic products for all market segments; Ghandour Cosmetics Ltd is leading by example in promoting affordable and clean energy in compliance with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 7.

We are also helping the country, meet its objective of driving the transition to renewable energy sources, to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050.

As a corporate entity, we are passionate about environmental sustainability and pushing the agenda of seeking a kinder environmental impact by using safer, cleaner energy that protects the Earth.

As Solar Energy and other renewable energy solutions become affordable, more reliable, and efficient, implementing these new solutions will be essential in countering climate change, which threatens human survival.

Ultimately, cleaner energy positively impacts the lives of our consumers, staff, partners, and the communities in which we operate.

Ghandour Cosmetic Ltd. is not just finding beauty in operating sustainably but that sustainability is at the core of powering our products and the beauty care needs of the cosmetic industry in Ghana.
