In celebration of Ghana’s 40th National Farmers’ Day, The GC Brand, a flagship of Ghandour Cosmetics Ltd., partnered with the Ledzokuku, Krowor, and Shai-Osudoku Municipal Assemblies to honour the nation’s hardworking farmers and fishermen. Held on November 8, 2024, this year’s event emphasized the critical role of agriculture in Ghana’s economy, aligning with the theme “Building Climate-Resilient Agriculture for Sustainable Food Security.”
As a token of appreciation, each farmer and fisherman received a thoughtfully curated hamper from The GC Brand, filled with beauty and personal care products. This gesture aimed to recognize their tireless efforts in providing sustenance to the nation and driving economic growth.
First introduced by the Ghanaian government in 1985, National Farmers’ Day is an annual event dedicated to recognizing farmers and fishermen who have excelled in their fields. Typically held on the first Friday of December, this year’s event was rescheduled to November 8th due to the upcoming national elections.
Tanal Ghandour, CEO of Ghandour Cosmetics Ltd., stated, “We believe that true beauty is holistic - a harmonious blend of outward radiance and inner health. Inner health begins with nourishing our bodies with wholesome food produced by our farmers and fishermen. Through this donation, we offer gratitude to them in hopes that our products will nurture them, as their work, nurtures us.”
The farmers and fishermen warmly received the donation, expressing appreciation for the recognition and support. By supporting Ghana’s agricultural community, The GC Brand reaffirms its commitment to social responsibility and community empowerment. Ghandour Cosmetics Ltd is honoured to be part of this celebration and looks forward to future initiatives that uplift local communities.
